Art work from our Services Users describing things that promote their Wellbeing
A Poem written by our Chief Executive, Tricia Hornby to acknowledge what our volunteers within Rochdale & District Mind do for us, this poem was written for our Volunteer Recognition Day.
Volunteers
Where would we be here at Mind
without volunteers, they give their time
their qualities, expertise and skills
Add such value and help us to fulfil
Our mission and vision and to do what we do
supporting others, some like me and you
who have faced hard times and need a hand
someone to listen and understand.
In the cafes they chat and smile,
sending positive messages all the while
Making buffets and serving food
promoting the link between food and mood.
The counsellors work hard behind the scenes
Evening and weekends, all who've been
appreciate the help and support they've received
on the road to recovery when they leave.
In groups and working parties, volunteers play their part
developing ideas, and in organising events they are never faint of heart
answering the phone or face to face
in our organisation they will always have a place
So enjoy your lunch and take a break
A certificate for you we are going to make
To give as a symbol of the value you bring
and a big thank you for everything.
