Our BACP Accredited Psychological service provides one to one sessions to people aged 18 and over living in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale area. We are now able to offer telephone counselling to individuals who have difficulty accessing our face to face service.
You can refer yourself for telephone counselling up to the beginning of February 2020, we are also welcoming residents of Bury to self refer to our telephone counselling service.
People access our counselling service to explore a wide range of mild to moderate mental health issues. These may include anxiety, stress, depression, low confidence, low self-esteem, as well as emotional, social and relationship issues. We can also provide help with the development of cognitive and life management skills.
Face to Face Counselling
There is a single therapy assessment charge of £2.00 for new referrals. This will be collected when you attend your initial assessment with one of our qualified counsellors. Once you access counselling, it will be provided free of charge by either members of paid staff or volunteers, however donations are always welcome.
Our service is offered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am until 5pm, and Friday from 9am until 4pm on Tuesdays we offer evening sessions and open from 9am until 8pm.
We understand that sometimes it can be difficult to access therapy, making that first walk into a new building and meeting someone new can be hard, even more so if you experience anxiety or have a physical disability.
Here at Rochdale and District Mind we are offering a telephone counselling service to help overcome these barriers.
We have trained therapists who will call you at a mutually convenient time, on a weekly basis to listen and talk with you about the difficulties you are experiencing over the phone.
