Welcome to Forward Project

Forward Project is a confidential service for those who have been involved in the Criminal Justice System and those who are at risk of becoming involved in the Criminal Justice System. We provide support for people, who have mild to moderate emotional health issues and live in Heywood, Middleton or Rochdale.

As a community mental health service we focus on providing you with the opportunities to develop and grow the skills, knowledge and experiences that allow you to take control of your issues. This is done with the support of a Wellbeing Co-ordinator.

I’ve served my time yet I feel like I am still serving it. I can’t get prescribed the medication I was taking in prison (prison psychiatrist different option to psychiatrist outside of prison).  I struggle to leave the house.  I have to take a weeks’ worth of sleeping tablets to see the GP.  Mind is the only place I feel I can go to and be listened to and be helped

  • Service user

How do you access our service?

If you are working with a professional they can refer you. Alternatively, you could refer yourself online or come to a drop in session here at Rochdale and District Mind’s Wellbeing Centre, 3-11 Drake Street, Rochdale OL16 1RE on Thursdays 9:00-4:30 and Fridays 9-1pm.

When we receive your completed form we will contact you (within 2 weeks) and ask you to come in and meet a Wellbeing Co-ordinator so we get a clear understanding of your circumstances and needs.

Your Wellbeing Co-ordinator will guide you through the groups and activities we and other organisations have to offer. They will listen to you and help support you to find techniques and ideas that will benefit your wellbeing.

  • Download referral form for 12 – 17 year olds
  • Download referral form for ages 18+

We have created an easy to use print out to help you know where we are and when our drop in sessions are, please click on the below image to download and print off:

To enquire further about the service, please telephone Alice on 07766 140 904 or email [email protected]

Coming to mind and speaking to you has made me look at my depression and think actually I do have a choice and I can have a life, endless days staying in bed are coming to an end!

With shops reopening, there are things retailers can do make a real difference in supporting people with dementia to have a comfortable experience and remain independent for as long as possible.
