Mental Health First Aid
Using our own trainers Rochdale and District Mind periodically run accredited Mental Health First Aid training courses.
What is MHFA?
Mental Health First Aid is the help given to someone experiencing a mental health problem before professional help is obtained. MHFA does not teach people to be therapists but it gives people skills to notice symptoms and provide initial help and support.
How do I become a Mental Health First Aider?
Attend our two day course delivered by Minds team of accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructors. The course is aimed at ordinary people, not just health professionals.
Where can I train?
We use our Wellbeing Centre and other appropriate venues for the training. For group bookings we are happy to offer in-house training or deliver at a venue of your choice.
