Ways to get involved

Your expertise as someone with lived experience of mental health issues is important to us. We value your support and input in continuously improving our services.

We exist to ensure that people do not face mental health issues alone and can lead their lives free from stigma and discrimination.  Rochdale & District Mind work hard to ensure our services are of maximum benefit to those who use them.

Rochdale & District Mind believes that service users are the experts when it comes to mental health. Their knowledge and experiences are vital to us, helping us to improve our services so that we can provide the best support possible. We value the views of our service users greatly and want to continue involving service users in the future growth of our organisation.

Service User Forum

These quarterly meetings are open to all service users and give the opportunity for Rochdale & District Mind to discuss plans and proposed future activities with those who are going to benefit from them. The Service User Forum is a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas with us. To express an interest in attending please contact Alice Astley on 07766 140 904 by calling, texting or WhatsApp.

Volunteering

Many of our service users volunteer at Rochdale & District Mind, helping to support others through their own mental health recovery. Working in partnership with their Wellbeing Coordinators, some service users volunteer at fundraising events, others facilitate activities such as our social support groups and wellbeing activities.
