Volunteering with Rochdale and District Mind

Rochdale and District Mind are always looking for volunteers to help.

Volunteers are provided with induction, safeguarding, ASIST and Mental Health First Aid training and support through their volunteering activities.  If you have a skill that might be useful, and time to spare, please contact us - see below for full details

We currently have the following volunteering opportunities within the organisation.  

Get Set to Go Project

To help facilitate, take part in and support people to access physical activity and sports sessions in the community.  No sports experience necessary – just a reliable, friendly, welcoming and confident personality.

Creative Writing

 Working with a small group of people using their creative writing skills and imagination, to create stories and poems to promote wellbeing using creativity.

BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Women's and Men's Groups

 Working with a large number of ladies and men from the BME community in both support and social groups.  Language skills essential for this role. For further information about the groups, please see here
 

 
Social Cafe Facilitator (Middleton)

 Working with a small group of people Volunteer to facilitate the social cafe in Middleton Compleat Cafe. For further information, please e-mail alicebewick@rochdalemind.org.uk for further details.

Relaxation Class Facilitator (Middleton)

 Volunteer required to facilitate a relaxation class at Middleton Compleat Cafe on Thursdays from 12.30pm till 1.30pm.  For further information, please e-mail alicebewick@rochdalemind.org.uk

Anxiety and Depression Support Group (Middleton)
