Welcome to Rochdale and District Mind, a local charity who, for over 30 years, have been providing mental health services for people living in the Borough of Rochdale (including local hospitals and in the community)
We are a local charity and membership organisation. We provide a range of services to support people with mental health and wellbeing issues. Our services are designed by people with lived experience for service users. We are focused on wellbeing and recovery, and supporting people to lead fulfilling lives.
We are not the same as National Mind but we are affiliated to them. This means that we work with Mind nationally but we are independent. We raise our own funds and provide the support that is needed locally in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale area.
We do this by offering a wide range of information, support and services which are co-designed in response to local needs. In addition, we support local strategic developments that support the wellbeing of people who live and work in the area.
Our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. We are focused on wellbeing and recovery, and supporting people to lead fulfilling lives. Our projects are designed to meet the needs of different people in different ways and to ensure that everyone can get support when they need it.
We are governed by a Board of Trustees and our governing document which is registered with the Charity Commission. We have achieved the highest level rating from National Mind for our quality standards, are a recognised Disability Confident Employer and hold quality marks for a number of our services including British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP), Quality Performance Mark (QPM) and ISO9001.
