Group Support Volunteer
Our Wellbeing and Social Support Groups are supportive spaces to connect with other people, learn more about mental health and wellbeing, and grow in the company of others.
Our Group Support Volunteers are a key part of the welcome people receive when they join one of our groups, offering a welcoming smile, a reassuring word, and a listening ear.
With the support of our Group Facilitators and other staff, our Group Support Volunteers help to run and adapt our groups to help those in need improve their mental wellbeing. Activities on offer include physical activities, creative sessions, peer support and social sessions and lots more. These groups and activities are mostly run from our two wellbeing hubs in Rochdale and Middleton.
From leading in our Social Support Spaces to supporting delivery of courses and wellbeing groups, our Group Support Volunteers are a key part of our mission to ensure that people do not face mental health issues alone and can lead their lives free from stigma and discrimination.
