Our counselling service provides one to one support to help relieve stress, anxiety and depression. We explore ways to increase self-esteem and improve relationships and all sessions are confidential and non-judgemental.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a counsellor listening to you with the aim to help you explore thoughts and feelings which are impacting on your mental health and wellbeing. They can address a range of issues such as feelings of panic, anxiety, stress, depression, and low self-esteem. It is an opportunity for you to develop coping strategies and come to decisions to understand and make sense of what is best for you.

Who can access the service?

Our counselling service is available to:

  • Anyone 18 years or older
  • Those living in, or whose GP is in Rochdale, Heywood or Middleton

We are unable to offer counselling to:

  • Those affected with PTSD
  • Children under the age of 18
  • Anyone who is receiving counselling or therapy elsewhere
  • Those living outside the boundaries of Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood

If you require counselling but do not meet the requirements listed above, we will try to help you find another service that would be able to support you.

I have found being able to talk about my feelings has really helped me. Being listened to and not judged is really important.
