Nobody should face a mental health problem alone.

As an independent charity, we work hard to raise all of our own funds to keep the mental health services that we provide accessible.

Every single donation we receive, big or small, makes a big impact and helps us to continue providing vital mental health and emotional wellbeing support services to our communities in the Borough of Rochdale.

Are we the same as National Mind?

No, we’re not the same, but we are affiliated with them.

Rochdale and District Mind is a Local Mind.

Local Minds are spread across the UK, each managing their own funding to provide mental health services in their communities. While they operate independently, they work closely with National Mind to ensure coordinated support nationwide.

We raise our own funds to provide essential mental health support within the Borough of Rochdale.

We are governed by our own board of trustees and collaborate with local authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups to meet the specific needs of our community

How are we funded?

We are independently responsible for securing our own funding.

We receive financial support through donations, grants, and income from services provided on behalf of local councils, the NHS, and private organisations. Additionally, we may receive funding from National Mind via a grant scheme, for which we apply for annually.

Most of our mental health services are provided free of charge, with a small fee for some. This makes our services more accessible to the communities we support, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to get the help they need.

Can my companies fundraise for you?

We’re always looking to partner with local businesses in Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood, Littleborough, and surrounding areas, especially those who champion mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Whether you want to organise a small team fundraiser or you’re looking for a Charity of the Year, we’d love to hear from you.

Email us to start the conversation.

Can I fundraise in memory of a loved one?

We understand that fundraising in memory of someone you love can be emotional. Your effort means so much, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

We’ll make sure your donation is honoured with care, respect, and gratitude.

Email us to talk about fundraising in memory.

My advice to anyone struggling is that help is out there. When you feel so bad everything can seem hard. Even if you don’t think you’ll get somewhere, you will – just stick with it!
