The Link worker project is funded by Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership. The project led by Tameside Oldham & Glossop Mind has been successfully implemented across 5 boroughs with another 5 boroughs of Greater Manchester in process of being established.
The overall aim is to embed mental health specialist workers into multi-agency safeguarding hubs. Reducing the statistics of people falling through the gaps, will have a further positive effect on health promotion and reporting within the wider community. Moreover, the Link worker posts will allow for continuation work in areas of streamlining the referral portals for organisations, ensuring clients are accessing correct referral routes reduces the burden on statutory services.
Rochdale & District Mind are working together with Adult Safeguarding and the Greater Manchester Police services. This project aims to reduce the statistic of individuals falling through the gap. It will have a further positive effect on health promotion and reporting within the wider community.
