Time To Talk Day 2026 at Number One Riverside

Yesterday, we marked Time to Talk Day at Number One Riverside in Rochdale, chatting with members of the local community about mental health, available support, and ways to get involved with our work.

We’ve been part of the Rochdale community for nearly 40 years, so being out and about locally and accessible to residents remains a really important part of what we do. The day gave us the opportunity to have meaningful conversations in a relaxed, informal setting, helping to make talking about mental health feel a little easier.

Throughout the day, people were able to:

  • Ask questions about who we are and what we do
  • Pick up information about local mental health support
  • Find out more about volunteering and fundraising opportunities
  • Self-refer for support if they wanted to
  • Take away a free Calm Kit

We also ran a spin-the-wheel game, where visitors had the chance to win a range of prizes. This proved to be a great conversation starter and was really well received by those who took part.

Time to Talk Day is about encouraging open and honest conversations around mental health – whether that’s asking for information, finding out what support is available, or simply knowing where to turn in the future.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us, to those who supported us by taking part in the spin-the-wheel game or purchasing one of our tote bags, and to Number One Riverside for hosting us. If you weren’t able to attend but would like to learn more about our services or volunteering opportunities, please get in touch.

Talking about mental health matters. When you’re ready, we’re here for you. 💬
