It’s Local Mind Week!

From 4-10th August we’re celebrating being a Local Mind!

What is a Local Mind?

There are around 100 Local Minds across England, Wales and the Channel Islands. As a collective network, we work under the umbrella of the mental health charity Mind. We share the same values, but run independently and make our own decisions about the support we offer to our communities. This means that the support we offer is tailor made for people in the Borough of Rochdale.

What is Local Mind Week?

Local Mind week is an opportunity for each Local Mind to shout about what they do and why it matters. At Rochdale and District Mind we’re reflecting on the stories of people we’ve helped in the past, sharing information about our services on our social media channels, and we’ve created some colourful windows at The Mind Wellbeing Centre in Rochdale to raise awareness.

We’ve also been out in the community putting up posters and sharing flyers.
