Celebrating Local Mind Week 2026
Local Mind Week is here!
From 3rd – 9th August we’re celebrating what it means to be a Local Mind 💙

What does ‘Local Mind’ mean?
You may have heard of the national mental health charity Mind. We are a branch of Mind, we run independently from them and provide unique services to best suit our communities in the Borough of Rochdale. Through grants, donations and fundraising activities such as corporate partnerships, community activities and legacy giving, we raise all of our own funds to keep our services going.
Did you know that there are around 100 Local Minds that make up the Mind network across England, Wales and the Channel Islands?
We’re all working hard to make sure no mind gets left behind.

How are we celebrating Local Mind Week?
The Rochdale and District Mind team are proud of what we do! So this Local Mind Week we’re spreading the word about our support and asking help from our community to keep them going, stronger and better than ever!
- We’ll have a stand in Rochdale Riverside, sharing our resources and encouraging people to self-refer.
- We’ll be posting something new every day on our socials channels (follow us at the links below!) Please share our posts with your friends and family, we want everyone to know that we are here for them, if they ever need us.
- We’re hosting a workplace wellbeing talk at local company Cleland McGiver, helping their team to learn more about stress in the workplace.
- We’re also hosting a community talk at Rochdale Rotary Club, spreading awareness of who we are and what we do.
- Encouraging donations through window art at our Wellbeing centre in Rochdale!

Give where you live!
We need your help. When you donate to Rochdale and District Mind, rather than Mind, your money stays local and goes directly towards our support services, helping your friends, family and neighbours with their mental health.
We appreciate every single penny that is gifted to us, your donations, big or small, make a difference. Thank you.
