Creativity, Community, and a Mayoral Visit!
We kicked off Mental Health Awareness Week partnering with the wonderful local creative space, Clay and Glaze, for an evening of creativity, community, and conversation (and snacks!).
It was a brilliant way to start the week, seeing a room full of people creating something from scratch and truly disconnecting from the noise of everyday life.

A Surprise Artist
We were really honoured to welcome Councillor Janet Emsley, the Mayor of Rochdale, to the evening. Councillor Emsley has been incredibly active during her time in office, attending close to 600 events across the Borough over the past year!
With her Term of Office ending this week, we were especially moved that she chose to spend one of her final official engagements with us. We were delighted when she decided to stay, roll up her sleeves, and paint a pot of her own! It turns out she’s quite the artist, and her presence was a powerful reminder that mental health connects us all, regardless of our roles in the community.

Local Partnerships Matter
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing team at Clay and Glaze. Working in collaboration with local businesses allows us to reach more people and create safe, welcoming spaces for everyone to explore their wellbeing. We can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and for letting us take over their beautiful studio!

Did you attend the event?
We’d love to see your finished masterpieces once they’ve been through the kiln! Tag us in your photos on Instagram and Facebook so we can share the finished results.
